Trainings for Caregivers
Heart Galleries of Texas is offering a 3-part caregiver training series, presented over 3 months, to foster parents, adoptive parents, and kinship caregivers on the adoption process. Caregiver trainings provide knowledge, support, and guidance to caregivers to help them explore adoption and what it means for them and their family. We encourage caregivers to attend each session at a date that best works for them as the sessions will cover different topics. All training sessions will be offered on three different dates.
Session 1: Introduction to the Adoption Process:
- February 10th, 11 am–12 pm
- May 12th, 11 am–12 pm
- August 11th, 11 am–12 pm
Session 2: Beyond the Dream: Understanding the Realities of Adoption:
- March 10th, 11 am–12 pm
- June 9th, 11 am–12 pm
- September 8th, 11 am–12 pm
Session 3: Embracing the Lifelong Journey of Adoption:
- April 14th, 11 am–12 pm
- July 14th, 11 am–12 pm
- October 13th, 11 am–12 pm
Additionally, the Child Welfare Education Collaboration is offering a 2-day virtual workshop on Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) to foster and adoptive caregivers. Certificate of completion will be provided to caregivers after the training.
